"Formica"/ Melamine sheets

Postby Parilla » Sat Apr 02, 2022 6:36 am

I'm looking for the above product or similar - not already fixed to a board, but just the sheet material to bond to my own surface. The laminate needs to be no more than 1.0 mm thickness and I need a piece of a minimum 300 mm square. There are no aesthetic needs so just plain white would do, I just need the practicality of a surface as friction free as possible.

I've tried Leroy Merlin and they have nothing, also I've looked at the Bauhaus website and can see nothinhg there. Does anyone recall seeing anything like this on your various travels, or know where I might find it ?

Never seen any in the 18 years I've lived here.
How about a sheet of aluminium or stainless steel?
You can get these in Leroy Melinn, Bahuas etc.
Cheers

Thanks Gerry.

Yes, I was beginning to reach the same conclusion, looks like a stainless sheet may be the best alternative. I've got one more chance up my sleeve which would involve a trip to Gibraltar, which I may try sometime.

Thanks again,
Parilla
