How to fit backwash hose to suction inlet

Postby costacab » Fri Jul 01, 2022 11:48 am

Hi, just moved to a house with a much more modern sand filter system than my old one. I can’t for the life of me work out how to fit my backwash hose. From YouTube I’ve worked out that I should use the suction inlet on the pool wall as there’s no valve on the filter itself to fit the hose to. But how do I fit the hose as it doesn’t slide into the inlet - are hoses different diameters? I’m trying to use my old hose so perhaps I need a different size one? Or am I missing something about how to fit it? Any advice much appreciated!

Sure you're not talking about the vaccuum hose?

Problem solved! Realised I hadn’t put adaptor on to connect to inlet. Drrrrrr….
