Water leak

Postby casita-bonita » Sat Sep 24, 2022 4:06 pm

I have a concrete walled depósito under the house. The metal outlet pipe passes through the depósito wall to feed the pump in the utility room. Recently I have noticed water seepage around the pipe. Not pouring through, but enough to create a small puddle on the floor. The depósito is full and given the uncertainty of water supplies I'm loath to empty it at the present time.

Is there some kind of gunk that I could seal around the pipe with, even it it only provides a temporary solution? My initial thought was coucho, but I'm sure there must be a better product I could slap around it and seal it. Not exactly my specialist subject so any/all suggestion welcome..

I would have thought any silicone would do the job applied from the tube by gun. Smooth using a wet finger (and soap onthe outer part)

Ask at your builders merchants.. There are many types including ones you can apply underwater. Approx six euros excluding the gun.b

I have wondered about this poster.
So far all the posts by him have been pretty innocuous
Cheers

Promoted me to post a rather late update.. It stopped oozing all by itself and hasn't started again. Leave well alone methinks.
