What is the law with regards to sending and receiving seeds through the post. Spain to UK/UK to Spain? Thanks

No problem within the EU

Even some plants (but they must be certified)

However - Seeds bred for the UK /Northern European climate do tend to struggle a bit down here...
Tomatoes being an example, They cant stand the heat and tend to split all too easily when compared to 'local' ones.

Your main problem is if the package or envelope looks at all "interesting", it will get stolen by a British Royal Mail 'worker', or their equivalent in Correos. Has always been, and will ever be so!

Can someone give some links to the sites in the UK for seeds.I am most interested in things I find had to get here like "cilantro" and can definitely not bring from home. In some of the local shops that sell seeds I have asked and they did not have

I am simply amazed that you have problems getting coriander seeds in Spain!! I have bought them in Lidl, Hermaos Jeromo in Velez-Málaga, and at the Farmers' Markets there is always a stall selling herb plants/seedlings.

Sorry

Just have a tendency to do my shopping in Antequera and as of yesterday they did not have (Lidl) ..I also asked at the agrivet in Casabermeja and also a few other places around here..Have not been to Velez Malaga recently and of course last time I went to the farmer's market in Torre I did not see nay. That doesn't mean they weren't there , just that these old eyes did not see them. I think it may be easier to order off the Internet, then I am sure of what I am ordering, and that it will be allowed to receive them here. If i went to my normal sources in Canada there might be a problem

I have never had problems with importing seeds from the uk nor in growing healthy plants from them - whether flowers, tomatoes or any veg seeds. Coastal dwellers may differ but I find everything from the UK thrives well here, nr Antequera.

Fast and efficient delivery of top quality seeds from:

http://www.organiccatalog.com

I have also used Thompson and Morgan (asparagus crowns) and http://www.nickys-nursery.co.uk (green manures, unusual varieties)
