What tree???
What tree???
Very tall, open leafed bearing fruit shaped like rugby ball with 4 hard ridges. The fruit is about 2 inches long. Possibly some kind of nut??

A pic would help Keddyboy, or even colours and shapes of leaves and the bark. I presume you are talking about the fruit when you say 'some kind of nut'
