Walnut trees

Does anyone know if the walnut trees that grow here are the same as the californian black walnut trees? I have googled the subject and have read that the californian trees were introduced by the Spanish. I want to make a natural cleanser using the black walnut tree hulls if so, instead of buying it. Thanks.

Yes I have a Wallnut Tree , its now 5 years old and not doing very well.
Thereis a very old one next to the local venta and its smotherd with them ... they say that they are like bad women .... the more you love'm the less you get, Beat then regularly and they give there all !
