Homelite Strimmer

Postby TerryC » Thu May 02, 2013 4:45 pm

I was given a petrol driven strimmer a Homelite Bandit SX135 but it is missing the bolt and spring that holds the spool in place. It was manufactured in the USA so does not have metric threads, besides the the bolt will be a RH thread. Does anybody know if there is a distributor here in Andalucia, or Spain for this make and model. I did contact the US company but for $5.00 worth of items they wanted $37.00 P & P, a bit steep. Any help appreciated.

Hi TerryC,
Any chance of a picture of the end of the strimmer and the bits you've got :?:

On the strimmer/brushcutters I have the the Line spooler is either attached directly to the strimmer bolt or with a washer and nylock nut, the only spring in that area is in the spooler to enable the Tap and Go to work.

Is yours like this...............

There is a parts diagram............

so it looks like the line head attaches as a unit.

If the machine runs and is serviceable then would be worth getting parts as new strimmers/brushcutters are expensive.

Parts for Strimmers are expensive. I paid 5euro for a nylock nut

Leroy Merlin sell Homelite petrol strimmers but whether or not they have spare arts, I don't know.

Not much help I'm afraid.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

Looks like RYOBI are compatible......

Have a search on the RYOBI site for your local Distributor...........

http://uk.ryobitools.eu/where-to-buy-ry ... -store.htm

If you search on 29200 Spain it throws up quite a few near you............. :D

Even a video on how to thread the line when you're ready to go.........
