Bottle brush bush

Postby bbobandannie » Tue Jan 14, 2020 2:53 pm

Obviously not the bush's real name but the last place we lived in had a beautiful bush, seemed drought tolerant, the flowers resembled bottle cleaning brushes. Bright red and yellow. Anyone got any ideas of their real name?

Do you mean this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callistemon

We have one that grows well in full sun. Doesn't get a huge amount of watering.

They can grow pretty big. Ours, after 17 years is over 4m high. Looks fabulous when it blooms.
