Unripe chillies
Unripe chillies
I obviously sowed my chillie seed too late and only a few have turned red. The majority are a pale green/yellow colour. Can they be used? This is in the uk so I doubt they will get any riper!

BTW they freeze really well.. Once thawed the are kinda soggy, but all the taste, ie heat is still there..

The good thing about freezing them is that if you freeze them whole they dont dry out with freezer burn.
I grow Jalapeños as they are easier to manage heat wise. I pick them both as red and green. They are equally hot.
