Hopefully this should help ensure adequate water supplies for La Axarquia. It has been a disgrace that water has had to be released from reservoirs like La Concepción at times, because they have been too full, whilst the water level of Viñuela has been declining steadily.

Re: anyone's garden struggling with drought?!
Says improvements to something called the "Churriana bypass" (whatever that consists of!) are ready and will come into service tomorrow, which is the means by which water will be diverted to Viñuela - so if the reports are correct it is something which already exists rather than waiting to be constructed.
Re: anyone's garden struggling with drought?!
be interesting to see if the reservoir website registers any increase in water level

Re: anyone's garden struggling with drought?!
It would be an improvement if this diversion of water stops the level going down so fast - I'm convinced Viñuela must leak like a sieve as every time we have an appreciable amount of rain far less water seems to go into it than to any other reservoir in the province.
Re: anyone's garden struggling with drought?!
a friend of mine is convinced that any increase in water there is immediately drained off to the farmers' depositos below the dam!!!
Re: anyone's garden struggling with drought?!
should have added" ?dont know what happens for those of us living north of that reservoir?!
