watching football
Much to my disgust,my hubby wants footie back on the television.
we had sky until just before xmas, then we were cut off.so dont really want to go down that road again, unless we have to.
What do you do to watch the footie in your house?
Do you have satanta?
Do you go thru spanish tele or do you view it via internet?
If its internet, can anyone give me some decent sites ?
Thanks.

Re: watching football
Thanks for that link costa,Hubby is also considering buying a laptop,so i can have my pc on in peace, and he can watch the footie on the laptop,so that would be a great link for him..We are just trying to work out what is the best for us to do.either subscribe to spanish tv,sky or laptop with links like the one you have just given me.x
Re: watching football
hiya peachie! we have sky for my soaps, and digitalb for hubbies footie. you need 80cm dish, receiver and card. the footie card costs 220pounds each year and gives loads of english, spanish, french etc footie matches.

One of the Spanish tv stations shows English games on Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday too, I think it is Tele2

Re: watching football
Karen, where do i get more info on digitalb?
I presume the 220 pounds is a one off payment, not like sky where you pay for the card then pay 50 quid every month?
Oliveview,we were told it was deportes(or something like that)too that have footie on the spanish tv.
we were going to subscribe to ono tv and then we were told by some spanish friends that canal plus would be much better.so im at a bit of a loss of what to do for the best. The last thing we want is to pay to get sky put back on and then 3 months later its cut off again.

Re: watching football
Whilst in UK last week, we watched the Hull v Chelsea game online and I believe the website was justin.tv or something like that, I will ask my Uncle who found it to confirm and let you know. It was a english website, but was a link to a spanish channel it seems?

Re: watching football
If you use Costakid's link above, you will find many links for most Premiership games, plus many other games and sports. Links for justin.tv are often included.
If you click on a "MediaPlayer" link from the list of links available, rather, than a link that needs software downloaded first (like sopcast eg) I have found the game to be only 7 or 8 seconds behind the live action.

we have been told about the justin tv,the thing is,i dont want hubby on my pc watching it all,he will be on it all night!
So he has been informed,if he wishes to watch all these internet sport downloads,he will have to buy a laptop!(just adjusting up my trousers)

Just a quick question - are these sites 'safe' to use? I've been told you can pick up all kinds of viruses and spyware from live streams
