My guess is you have a laptop and turned on the numeric key pad which is part of the alpha keyboard.
u=4, i=5 k=2 0=6 etc
There will be a function key to turn it back off. What make and model is it?

thanx everyone, yes it´s a laptop, someone has told me how to fix it , pressing the Bl num/bl Des button, whatever that means , anyway, back to normal now........now off to have a serious talk with the cat !!

I expect you've heard of the "infinite monkey theorem".
i.e. give enough monkeys enough keyboards for enough time, and eventualy the complete works of Shakespeare will be typed. (or any other text, sentence or just a word.)
I don't think I'll be around long enough to verify that, though.
