Joined Acox after the nightmare I had with Telefonica, not had a single problem with them and I've been with them since last August. Much cheaper too.

Acox is not a landline service, though.

I've had my own nightmare recently too. I do beleive that it is mandatory for Telefnica to provide a landline and working internet service, or so I am told.......... Another thing is them actually doing it.

Good luck.

Yes, I think it's mandatory, as you say. There are penalties (fines) for non-compliance, but I've heard that, cynical bar stewards that they are, Telefonica have decided it's cheaper to pay the fines than install the service, particularly where it would cost them a lot of money.

It is mandatory - and when they cant (orwont) supply a land line, they should offer the wireless conection. Failing that they now just offer Movistar (mobile conection) and that exonerates them from the penalties

A friend living in the campo nearby has been refused a land line. Not surprising? A telefónica cable crosses his land! Perhaps he should charge them rent! :D
