Dish position for spanish tv

Postby karandjon » Thu Aug 20, 2009 4:44 pm

Can anyone tell me what position we need for spanish tv. At present the dish is 16degs E.

And do we just need a TDT box, like the cheap ones in Carrefour, to get it?

Thanks,

Karen

the TDT box links to an ordinary aerial, not a dish, so you need an aerial

The two satellite positions for Spain are 19E and 30W. You may able to get what is called a monoblock for 16 & 19E but I'm not sure. You could then keep it pointing at 16E. I've read that tdt is being rolled out on satellite for places that don't have terrestrial coverage of it but a special receiver is required.I'm not sure which satellite position they would choose but there is some tdt stuff on 30W that is no longer decodable by us with suitable hardware. Perhaps this is what you are talking about? There are a lot of free to Spanish channels on both satellite positions but is this a footy related question? If you look at Tratos thread on page 2 about Spanish tv viewed in the UK , then my link gives a list of receivable fta Spanish language channels.
