Can anyone hazard a guess as to what this mast is likely to be?
I am hoping it is either a TV mast or for broadcasting Campo wifi (internet). I am pretty sure it isn't for mobile phones.
Apologies for the lack of clarity of the picture. I had to zoom in to the max with the camera and then crop with Photoshop.
There is a gap between the red panels and the white one.

Re: Mast identification
Having worked on tv transmitters for over 2 decades in the UK I suppose I should stick my neck out. The photo from Campo Steve does look as though it has the same type of red aerial panels as the photo from Beach. A main tx (in the UK)generally is a tripod affair so has panels on 3 faces. A smaller relay (which this maybe CS) could only have it on 1 or 2 faces depending on coverage area required. If you can say where the photo was took Beach or me could have a look perhaps.

Re: Mast identification
The mast is on a hill to the north of Comares, maybe 5kms away. It is just across the Benamargosa-Rio Gordo road above Llano de Almendra.
Pointing my TV aerial directly at it doesn't improve reception, best signal is pointing about 40 degrees south of it, towards Velez Malaga so may not be a TV transmitter.

I assume that, when you point your antenna at it, you do a rescan.
Let's go Brandon!

Re: Mast identification
Yes I do. The channels that are detected are not the ones the TDT web site lists as being transmitted by Comares, so it isn't the Comares transmitter.

Re: Mast identification
there is a webite of a company www.sistelecom.es who seem to offer TDT by dish for those that do not get a TDT signal.
