What goes where?
What goes where?
Ok. I'm getting a new telly for the world cup with TDT installed.
Currently I have a TV, small sat & receiver, DVD/VHS combi player and a TDT box.
What socket goes where and in what order? I am extremely discombobulated.

Forget the small TV - you don't need that now unless you use it in another room connected to the TDT box which you no longer need as the new TV has one built in.Mowser wrote:Ok. I'm getting a new telly for the world cup with TDT installed.

The DCD/VHS player connects to the new TV via the usual SCART lead.
The Sat receiver also connects to the TV via a second SCART socket, or you can connect it to the DVD/VHS player if, as I suspect, it is also a recorder. The signal then goes through the DVD/VHS player to the TV.

Give me a call if you need a hand, but once you get the cables out of the box it is straight forward.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

I'm over in Frigiliana next week for two or three weeks and need a TDT box. Fancy selling it?

They're only €20.00 in Eroski! Anyway - I need it.
I thought they'd be the same price as a Spanish freesat box. I'm not really that tight

rofl. aki recently (fuengerola) has about a thousand tdt boxes all ina pile just as you go in the door, with a countdown to the "end of tdt 15 days" etc.
not been in there again, wonder if they sold them all, they were only 15€

Re: What goes where?
It needs to be plugged directly into the TV. The reason that the TDT is very cheap compared to a Freesat one is that the Freesat isn't officially sold here in Spain and receives the British channels but theTDT one is for use in Spain and only receives Spanish channels.
