I've made a total balls up.
Managed to convert my HD on my laptop to a dynamic disk.
So, Acronis TrueImage won't recognise the disk so can't restore from backup.
Tried to install Windows 7 but that won't work because it's a dynamic disk.
HELP
Cheers

Re: Convert Dynamic disk back to a Logical disk
Hi,
Suggest you make a search on the Internet. Plenty of solutions around depending on what you have and want to do. See
http://mypkb.wordpress.com/2007/03/28/h ... sic-disks/
for an example. Microdoze have an "offical" solution it seems, assuming you are not Mac.

Due to the high cost of energy, the light at the end of the tunnel will be shut off until further notice.
Re: Convert Dynamic disk back to a Logical disk
Yes did a search but all the methods I found rely on there being a Windows OS on the disk.
My disk was empty.
Panic over, I booted Linux, from a CD and changed the disk to one recognisable by Acronis TI.
Cheers
