EBAY Spain
EBAY Spain
Is anyone a regular user of this service? Any comments or warnings? How does a buyer get stars or ratings from sellers?

Re: EBAY Spain
To get stars you should:-
1 sell the buyer what they actually bought.
2 send on time.
3 do not rip the buyer off with high shipping costs.
4 answer emailed questions.
There are other things that can "p## off a buyer, think what you would not be happy with having bought something.
Its the buyer who will rate you after the sale is completed.
Thats how it works in Canada.

Re: EBAY Spain
Nothing to do with how promptly you pay for the item then?
Re: EBAY Spain
We sell on e-bay and I always give our buyers good feedback, which means they get stars. I suppose some sellers can't be ar*ed to go to the feedback page and fill it in.
Re: EBAY Spain
Thanks Irene,
I went on it for the first time and have an item on its way to me, being tracked by Correos, in transit for 24 hours now and status is still "admitido".......so not sure if Correos bother to use the tracking.

Re: eBay Spain
I,ve used eBay.es for years, although it challenged my Spanish to do the initial set up, now I have no problem, communicating with Spaniards in the written word is not at all difficult now.
I know a lot of Brits who registered with eBay.co.uk but it isn't really the right thing to do, as it can upset all the parameters for buyers and sellers who are looking for items in a certain area.
If the language is a problem, you can always log in to eBay.co.uk with your user-name and password, then all the menus are in English.
It has always puzzled me why a big multinational company like eBay have not provided multilingual menus on eBay.es and all the other country domain websites that they operate.
If I'm buying something, I always pay immediately with PayPal - works very well.

Re: EBAY Spain
Thanks, the spanish language is not a problem, I am a total first timer to Ebay, never ever used it before, and it seems odd that sellers use tracking on Correos (and presumably pay for the paquete azul service) yet it tells me nothing about the transit status of the parcel!
Re: EBAY Spain
The person to contact is the seller.
It is not odd that they have tracking on their parcels, any responsible seller usually does.
Dont give a seller negative feedback because Correos has not yet delivered.

Re: EBAY Spain
I have not once mentioned, or even implied, giving negative feedback to the seller and have no problem whatsoever with her, she sent the item very promptly indeed, my point is that she has paid for a Correos tracking system, yet the tracking system still says "admitido" after 36 hours - so precisely what kind of tracking is that? I would not expect it to be delivered yet but I do expect a tracking system to track!
Re: EBAY Spain
In my experience the tracking reporting isn't very comprehensive.
Usually only "accepted" " in the process of delivery" " delivered" with several days gap between each stage of the process.
Cheers

Thanks Gerry.
Re: EBAY Spain
Update - my package arrived, 4 days from successful bid to arriving to me......very pleased and great service from seller who sent the item within 15 hours of my payment. Correos tracking is very limited and only as Gerry described in case anyone else uses the service.

Yep, there are some deals to be had there despite the criticism it sometimes gets.
