HELP need pound sign urgently

Does anyone know how to produce a pound stg sign using a Spanish MAC keyboard please?

I am using Abiword to create a document so cant use the MAC insert a character feature. My version of Abiword only has a Euro sign

Hold down the Alt key and type 0163

On my PC I use alt156. (Hold down the alt key and type 156 from the numeric keypad.).

If it is a laptop without the side numeric keypad then you have to turn on the numeric keypad. Using the normal numbers does not work.

It's usually an F? key to switch on the numeric keypad.
Due to the high cost of energy, the light at the end of the tunnel will be shut off until further notice.
