I wouldn't call that an announcement, just yet another advert for yet another overpriced IPTV solution that you can get for nothing if you have a laptop or tablet.

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
I quote from a reliable source ,
"BBC Changes with Astra 2E, dates confirmed.
In February 2012, one of these satellites (Astra 2D) was retired and BBC services moved to a new temporary home on Astra 1N. Astra 1N is shortly to be moved to its permanent position at 19°East, so the affected
BBC services will be transferring to a new permanent home on Astra 2E (28.2°East).
This will take place in the early hours of Thursday 6th February 2014
A small number of channels are unaffected by the change. These are on the multiplex “DSAT 8” which is carried on Astra 2F (also at 28.2°East). These are BBC ONE Scotland HD, BBC ONE Wales HD, BBC FOUR HD, BBC NEWS HD, CBeebies HD.
Which means those currently getting BBC's above on 2F, will not lose them. So far, for this location, all good news.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/news/news_item25.html
Forgetting 2E / 2F for a moment, review the frequency 11495 on the link below - as with the right satellite receiver you can open these BBC1, BBC2, ITV etc with a 1 metre dish in most parts of Spain - you can even link 2 dishes, IPTV etc.
http://www.lyngsat.com/Intelsat-907.html
yes you would need to realign dish as this satellite is 27.5 degrees west, as opposed to 28 degrees east of the new (and old) Astra satellites.
There have been some changes with 1N channels moving temporarily to 2A. It is presently assumed that this is in 'holding for 2G' - these channels below are Sky, not the UK terrestrials.
Tests completed 1.86 portuguese prime focus, nr Almoradi - 16 km's from Torrevieja.
For those in some parts of Spain 2A North will be weak, we have received one report from community member in Costa Calida who has lost 'Challenge' which is on 12304H, shown below.
2A North
12070 h 27500 snr 43 (2A North)
12148 H 27500 55snr (2A North)
12090 v 29500 dvbs2 32-33 snr (2A North)
12168 v 29500 dvbs2 32 (2A North)
12226 h 29500 dvbs 2 57 (2A North)
12246 V 29500 dvbs2 37 (2A North)
12304 h 27500 51snr (2A North)
12324 v 29500 dvbs2 51snr (2A North)
These are all subscription Sky & most have an alternative option - in the case of the DVBS-2 (HD) there are a few of the Sky film channels (not all) but the standard definition versions are o.k.
2A South beam
12207 v 27500 94 snr (2A Southern beam)
12110 h 27500 99 snr (2A Southern beam)
12266 H 27500 99 snr (2A Southern beam)
12188 h 27500 99 snr (2A Southern beam)
There is a few more which information is not available or clear yet."
We will have to see tomorrow morning what TV Channels we still have. I hope I have not confused everyone.

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
Que sera sera. I wont be losing sleep over any changes. There are thousands of other satellite channels out there.
Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
Ok so have now lost BBC in south of spain on SD box. Is a HD box (freesat or sky) a solution as my current understanding is that BBC HD is stll ok in same way as C5 HD was not lost around a year ago.
Or do I need to buy a STB that is connected to internet?

All my BBC channels have gone, including BBC1Scotland HD which it was reported wasn't going yet. Still got ITV and CH4 and S4C Digidol for the Welsh rugby on Saturday.
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
Yep all bbc gone in Estepona including all bbc radio as well. All other non bbc radio ok.
Lost my itv hd on sky W.Mids card but available on itv hd london on "other channels" All the other itv channels are still ok along with C4, E4, more 4 etc.
As previously discussed all the other sky subscription channels are currently unaffected.
Don't know what freesat users are getting round here.

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
BBC1 Scotland HD is still on the same satellite that it was launched on, and did not change to 2E last night. So the report was correct.Campo Steve wrote:All my BBC channels have gone, including BBC1Scotland HD which it was reported wasn't going yet.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

Freesat users will get the same as Sky box users, they use the same signals.

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
Yes all BBC stations gone from here on Nerja. Is the solution re-alignment, bigger dish or IPTV?
Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
Well, we have lost all BBC channels and - what a tragedy (not) - also Challenge.
Friends have suggested that HD is an option - what do you experts think?
Sorry if this is a stupid question/

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
We've got a Spanish friend replacing some roof tiles that became dislodged in the recent winds we had.
He called last night and said he was starting today or tomorrow.
Now OH said whilst I was on the phone to ask him to take the 1.3 dish down as she'd been listening to what I'd been relaying from here..............so I have.
However just thinking out loud and gaining a few snippets, Am I a bit previous with this?
We bring our subscribtion SKY card across with us and although we can't get our Sports package we still get the full entertainments package.
Will that lot go too do you think, ie Dave,Deja vu, home and living channels............what about Sky news etc.?
Don't want the dish there as an ornament but would call him to leave it alone if these channels still worked................I guess I won't get the answer to this today will I?
