Couldn't get Ch4, or More4 last night - breaking up terribly. Bloody Irish!
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Irish version , last night really bad, ok this morning, then bad again this evening.
My spelling is Wobbly. It's good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.

Well it is on 2as north beam, and that beam does vary in reception during the day.gina59 wrote:Irish version , last night really bad, ok this morning, then bad again this evening.
We on the Costa blanca, notice this a lot when even 23.4ms dishes can struggle to keep it 24/7!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

Hi USINSPAIN,
Have IE as your Default Browser.........fire off IE when front page comes up, fire off Expat Shield from the short cut on desktop, this will load into IE , connect and get all the ads and stuff.
Fire up another Browser like Palemoon and type bbc.co.uk/iplayer/tv in URL bar and you're good to go.

You can't download with Zenmate , just watch on-line.
Need Expat Shield and BBC iplayer downloads to download.

I've been using the free trial of SmartyDNS, and it's working fine for me. Our provider (BB4S) provides a UK proxy, but it only lasts for 3 hours, then you have to start it again. Don't know why that would be - does it cost them something? So SmartyDNS is more convenient, as once it's going, it stays going

If anyone in the Malaga > Frigiliana area is finding download speed problems with Movistar there should be a fix either late tonight or tomorrow. This also affects people in this area with other ADSL providers as they use Movistar cabling.
A technician came round again (3rd time) and having eliminated all other possibilities, he went to the Frigiliana exchange. He phoned me after an hour or so to say that the line from Malaga to this area is corrupt. He confirmed that speeds were fine in the morning and slowed down during the day to less than half the normal. He also said it had nothing to do with all the ex-pats streaming films!
I'll also post this on the computer thread.

So I have given up with ZenMate and downloaded the trial of smartydns and it works fine, but I can't understand how to alter my router to get my Roku box to work. Has anybody done this who could explain it in an understandable manner please?

Hi barry.
Find out the DNS settings that smartydns sets up (hint look at your Network adapter config), then login to your router and put then in.
For a more specific procedure Google your Router make and model .........
An Example...............

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?
I've tried this with Smartydns and Unblockus - both work fine on the individual computers but neither will work with the router.
I was told by the 'help' that my ISP, Telefonica- land line, was using IP transparency (?) - But others seem to be able to get it to work ... just put the DNS information your given into your Routers DNS settings and leave everything else the same.
