We will be living in Nerja in about 3 months and will need an inkjet printer fairly promptly.Anyone out there can suggest best/cheapest shop in area or best website?

Hi sungoddess,

Buying a printer is like choosing a wife.......you need to take your time and select the best model for your requirements......cheap is not necessary the best.
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Try Wortens or Eroski at El Ingenio shopping Mall, decent selection and prices 15 mins down motorway from Nerja towards Malaga

Catch the little bus that goes to Velez Malaga. It does go to the hospital first but it is very efficient.

You can catch a Line 1, 2 or 3 bus (they take different routes but all of them go via the hospital and stop at El Ingenio). They run more or less every 15 minutes during the day and it's a flat fare of €1.30 no matter how many stops you travel.

The Line 4 bus just runs from Almayate to Caleta de Velez so don't get on that one.

Thanks, not for me but I know Sungoddess has no transport. Where does that stop at Ingenio ? I presume the Dunnes/Worten side.

If travelling from Torre del Mar to El Ingenio, the stop is across the road (there is a pedestrian crossing). It's just about in the middle of the main facade of the centre.

Thinking about it, there are a few Alsa buses per day which go direct from Nerja to Velez (and vice versa) and you can get off at El Ingenio (but you can't get ON at El Ingenio to go to Velez or Torre - don't ask), which saves changing in Torre del Mar and also works out cheaper than paying two separate fares. I know there are 4 each morning from Velez (at 9.00, 10.00, 10.40 and 11.30) plus one in the afternoon (17.15). The time of the afternoon one from Nerja to Velez is 16.15 (don't know the morning times but Sungoddess could check on the Alsa website), but there wouldn't be a direct bus back to Nerja after that).

The info on the buses is really great. We would want buses direct if possible from Nerja to the shopping precinct.I presume there are shops there that will sell printers.

Check that there is not a day when everything is shut before you plan your trip. We are coming into that time of year, and we have been caught out before!
