Telefonica Charge

Postby Grittomum » Mon Feb 02, 2015 2:09 pm

In the summer we signed up for Fusion, they couldn't install or supply us as there were no free lines to our community. I was assured they wouldn't charge us anything until everything was installed, router etc.
We have just had a direct debit taken for 10.65Euros, we have not been out to Spain since October so who can I contact to find out why they have charged us when we dont have anything or should I wait till we go out in a fortnight. Is there anyway we can get our bank to check?
Have looked at phoning from UK but as it is a mobile no dont want a huge bill?
Any advice would be grateful!

What about using Skype to ring them?

Typical Telefonica(Movistar) I'm afraid.

Does anyone check your mail for you, in case anything has been initiated?

If you feel there is no cause for the charge you can request your bank to draw it back within, AFAIR, 28 days of the payment leaving.
You are then at your leisure to speak to them on your next visit to Spain.

I've learnt to be completely intolerant of spurious amounts leaving my account, especially those without a paper invoice to support them, I draw back first and ask questions later! 99 times out of 100 the charge has been without merit.
