Windows 10 Now Tries to Automatically Update!

If you're using Windows 7 or Windows 8, be aware that the Windows 10 update is now a "recommended update", which means it will automatically download and try to install. You still have to confirm it, but it's still good to know.

Further to CH's post...........

Windows 7 SP1.........
Make sure you set your updates to download but you choose when to install........see that section in the following Link............

You can then Right click on the update and Hide it......it will not install.

The update is KB 2952664..........I've also Hidden KB3035583 on my Windows 7 systems.

Windows 8.1 will be a slightly different procedure.

You may want to look at GWX Control Panel...........for sorting out the above.......without getting your hand dirty...........
