I have an LG tv model 42LN 570S and magic remote, apart from poor sound quality it is fairly good. This morning when I tried the magic remote up came the out of range message followed by another message which said something about leaving something mode, it was gone of screen before I could read it. I put new batteries in the remote but appears dead nothing shows at all no curser nothing.
Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with it. Would appreciate some advice please.

Re: Magic remote.
I have the same model TV.
I'm sure you have but have you checked the new batteries are the right way around and seated OK?
Can you switch the TV on/off using the remote?
Is the WiFi dongle still firmly plugged into the TV?
Cheers

Re: Magic remote.
Hi Gerry.
Yes batteries are correct and the dongle is in firmly but no the remote does nothing, won't turn tv on or off nada!.
Have the ordinary remote but it's a pain to use after the magic one.

Re: Magic remote.
I believe they either work or don't.
As far as I can remember there was no initial setup just insert batteries, plug in dongle and it would function as in switch TV on/off access the smart menus etc.
Could then set it up as to which other devices it could control.
Cheers
