Having now obtained my digital certificate and it is working OK and I have accessed the DGT site to make my appointment to exchange my licence, I now cannot get the autofirma program to work. I downloaded it OK and it goes through the motions for me to select my certificate, but then I get a message that an error occurred when sending to the request and to try later. Could this mean that there is a problem at their end with too many people accessing the site? I've not used autofirma before so don't know what the problem is. There's no error number, so I cannot look it up.

It could be the DGT site is/was temporality down.
Easy to check, open and copy the DGT site's URL into "box" and it will tell you if the site is down.
