Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced DNS/VPN service?
My SmartyDNS subscription is due for renewal, but their price has increased, so was looking for alternatives.

or mail smarty and ask them for a better price.
Are they likely to reduce their price?
Smarty are charging $40 plus VAT...so about $50.
Smartdns proxy also quote $40.....not sure if that includes VAT, assuming not.

Re: Good DNS Provider
I’ve used both for DNS. I have had major BBC problems with Smarty and changed to SmartyDNSproxy. Smarty gave a full pro rata refund. And so Proxy have had no problems. Both are great for customer support.
If you are satisfied with the service, yes, try and get a better deal before you change.

Problem seems to be that they are now charging for VAT, they didn't last year. Is this normal?

Re: Good DNS Provider
Pretty sure that i paid $34 for two years subscription for smartdnsproxy. Run through the 30 day eval, wait a wee while and they will send you an offer. Service works like a charm and I'm on my second 2 year subscription.

I paid a really good price for 2 years plus 2 weeks free trial.
Re: Good DNS Provider
I gave up with Smarty due to their BBC problems. Smartdnsproxy have been very good and instant customer service when I've had a question.
