HI
A couple of questions about MS Edge
1) How do I stop Edge re-installing itself after uninstalling it using REV0 UNINSTALLER
2) I do not seem to be able to get rid of Ms Edge in the Windows 10 App Menu. Uninstaller is greyed out in Settings enu.
Thank You
David

Re: microsoft edge
Hi pensure1988,
As MS are aggressively push "New Edge" on Windows 10 users...........
Let it install , don't import from your usual Browser when it completes...........turn off it's background running when closed...as below.

If you really want it off your system..........have a read, I've not tried this, might have a look at it tomorrow..........

Re: microsoft edge
So what is Edge supposed to do ? I let it download, and its just sitting there - should I get rid of it or just leave it doing nothing ?

Hi chrissiehope,
"So what is Edge supposed to do ?"............ it's a Browser.
It's best to have at least two Browsers on your system as sometimes your favourite one might not open a clip or site correctly.
1) Follow the procedure I posted yesterday , install and turn of the running in background when closed.
I've gone through the procedure to Remove it completely from the system using Powershell as I also posted.
MS is aggressively pushing Edge ........even had it installed on a Windows 7 system as an update the other day.
I would expect Windows Update to see it's not on a system and force it to Download at a later date.
So best to have it and "switched" off as in 1) above.

Re: microsoft edge
Microsoft Edge is the replacement for the previous Microsoft browser, Internet Explorer.
When Edge first came out it wasn't very good.
It has been rewritten using the Chromium code, as used by Google Chrome browser.
Edge is now vastly improved and many computer experts now think that is the best browser currently available.
Cheers

It is also my preferred browser. I have others including Brave, firefox and Chrome but Edge is the best for my uses.

Re: microsoft edge
If you like Edge but not Bing then you can change your search engine to Google or whatever.
To save me typing see https://www.howtogeek.com/221709/how-to ... nder%20it.
Also if there are any addons you liked in Chrome then they can also be used in Edge.
