BROADBAND

Postby patricia » Sun Aug 23, 2020 5:43 pm

How can I improve my broadbank. I am forever getting messages that I do not have enough broadband when streaming televsions programs.

The program I am watching often gets stuck and I get the circle which turn around and around. :problem:

I have purchased a little plug in Wifi extra, but that doesnt help much and I have removed a lot of start up junk and done a sweep. But that hasnt helped much.

Hi patricia,
What is your current connection speed :?: check it out with..........

https://www.speedtest.net/

What are you contracted for........... :?:

Example........

If you're contracted for 10Mbps download and speedtest shows 2Mbps then we can see where things are slowing down.........you will need to fire up Teamviewer and give me a shout.......... :!:

Hello Enrique,

104.31 download and 103.81 upload.

I do not get as many problems when I use my little note pad to watch the TV however at the moment it will not let me use Smarty ! :problem:

I do not know what I am contracted for to be honest. Never gave it a thought!! :(

I will pop in tomorrow and ask in the office and come back to you with Teamviewer!

It is getting really annoying to be honest.

Hi,
With those speeds you should not have any problems.

So how are you "streaming" to the TV.............. i.e what is connected to what and is it by WiFi or Ethernet cable.......... :?:

That will be great Enrique.

I will send the Teamviewer ID and Password. :D

I think it must be something on the computer because it doesnt matter even if I am looking a program on the computer it still keeps stopping and starting and then states that "you do not have enough band width to watch this program" :problem:

Well I am now looking at uninterrupted programs. Thanks to Enrique who opened a file so that I could download programs.

So nice to be able to watch a program with the constant whirling ring in the middle and then a message stating "not enough Broadband" !

Thank you Enrique you are a saint :D

Hi

Very interested in this option, but when I tried to get into the Teamviewer website, both Firefox and Edge deny access because they say the website is not secure? How do we progress in these circumstances please?

Thanks in advance

Vincent

I used Chrome to download Teamviewer.

How I do get that a lot but I carry on regardless as it says it a lot.

Enrique will tell you what to do to be able to download Teamviewer.
