Fraudulent e-mail

Postby Unicorn » Sun Aug 30, 2020 6:57 pm

Hi there

I have received 4 hits this weekend.

A PayPal fake email, an Amazon one and a Netflix one all saying a payment could not be made etc etc. Deleted all, naturally.

And then, as a bonus, this morning I got one of the 'Can we sort out your computer?' one by phone. Said I didn't have one and the phone went dead.

Stay alert, as they say

I've practiced Lenny's techniques, had a bit of time the other day when I received a call from "Microsoft" kept him going for a while, eventually he told me to f off which I thought was a little extreme for a Microsoft employee

I got an 'old school' type spam contact the other day - a proper letter from the executive officer at a Japanese bank ;-) Needless to say, I filed it under WPB (waste paper bin !!)
