Youtube Thumbnails

Usually, when I play a video on Youtube, a stack of suggested video thumbnails appear on the right ( usually the same TV series or the same Artist, for example). I find this very useful.
Today, however, I am seeing NO thumbnails at all, just the open video on the left,and blank on the right.
It's the same problem on my three other browsers( also the same on my Youtube phone app).
I have tried clearing the "history" & "cache" from the browsers, to no avail.
I note that If I "sign-out of Youtube", I get the thumbnails back !
Can anyone help to get my thumbnails back please....without having to "Sign-Out"

Could be a bad internet connection. Does the video take ages to start playing?

No; my internet connection is excellent.

Additional info to my original posting:
If I sign-out of Youtube, I get my thumbnails back, but, of course, I lose my "library" playlists.
So problem not yet solved.

Final update:
Realising that there was no problem if I was signed-out,I had a look at my profile icon.I selected the option "Switch Account" and chose the alternative account.( Don't know why that was there ; must have clicked something in a past- life).
However: it solved the problem.
