Can anyone help here please.
I have run my Yellow Cartridge down to empty. I am trying to install the new Yellow Compatible Cartridge and my Printer will not recognize this cartridge. I have tried various options but none seem to work. I have an Epson Expression Printer Model XP-245
Thank You
David

Hi pensure1988,
You will have to work through "fixes" posted on the web...............Example
https://support.bchtechnologies.com/hc/ ... cartridges
A key point............. "Install non-OEM cartridge early. Do not wait till OEM cartridges empty"
There is Epson specific section if you scroll down.............

Re: Epson Printer Expression XP-245
Hi
We have exactly the same printer and use compatible ink XL29 cartridges with no trouble
When we replace any cartridge, it asks us several questions along the lines of "do we realise that OEMs are better", "do we really want to proceed", etc, and we just keep declining their advice. After three or four questions, the printer accepts the compatible cartridge, and works as normal......
Good luck.....

Good Evening
Thank you everyone for your advice. Unfortunately I have tried all the suggestions on the two links supplied and the yellow Ink Cartridge still fails to be recognized. I have even bought a Genuine Epson Cartridge and that does not work either. Has anyone got any other ideas how I can get my Printer to recognize this Cartridge
Thank You
David

Hi pensure1988,
Have you cleaned the contacts (where the cartridge slots in) with electrical contact cleaner, I use 96% alcohol from Mercadona and cotton ear buds.
Have a watch...................

"AMAZING!!! The only thing that I did differently was unplugging the unit from the wall and waiting overnight before going through the "Remove and replace cartridges" Epson Guide instructions again.. Lo and Behold! the printer recognized my ink cartridges . . " Johnny T.
