Printing with W10

Postby jonbar.1 » Mon Dec 06, 2021 5:30 pm

Up until recently I had always used "ACDSee" as my photo editor. Sadly I no longer have it. Although it's pretty dated looking software; it was much quicker than the "W10 "Photos" built-in app; with more useful features,Such as: it allowed me to print the image to an accurate specific size on the page.Plus any position on the page as necessary. The editing options also were ten-times better!
Can anyone recommend something to replace my "ACDSee"?
I don't necessarily need "all-singing & dancing" photo-editing: just a good piece of software to print the pics with control of size etc.

There is a choice here:

https://www.gihosoft.com/hot-topics/bes ... re-pc.html

I have Corel Draw Home and Student but it is fairly expensive. I have never used any of the above so have no personal experience.
Let's go Brandon!

Have a look at Fastone Image Viewer, https://www.faststone.org/, it's free.

ACDSee is still available. Why can’t you just download it?

Thanks Sid.
For years I used an installation DVD( made by a pal ).
Plus an access Key.
I've just had W10 re-installed; needed to re-install ACDSee, but have lost the DVD.
I wasn't aware that I could download a free version

Its not free. You will have to pay for it like everyone else. There is a free trial.

Shame. :(
Think I'll keep looking for my DVD.
It's not that I'm a cheapskate; I only use it for the image sizing option.I have other apps for photo management.

Then checkout gerrys suggestion of fastlane. I use it myself primarily for resizing or cropping as i do very little photo editing. Works great in both single and batch mode.
