Avast 1

Postby chrissiehope » Tue Mar 22, 2022 11:33 pm

This has been being advertised on UK TV for the past few days. As it is free, I was wondering if I should replace my current free Avast with this new one - any thoughts anyone ?

I prefer to use Microsoft's own AV but if you want to download one of the other free options like Avast, I would avoid installing all the extras.
Don't rush while installing so you make sure you unclick anything that will install other unwanted programs onto the PC.

I came across this tutorial which might assist you.

Hi chrissiehope,

As you're aleady a Avast fangirl best to get the new one..... note that all the "features" aren't available in Free version.

Has some good write ups on the Tech sites.

Some light reading..............

I also find Microsoft AV to work well.
