Go on I give up!
I have a folder with some pics( jpegs).
I wanted to send one by email.( Outlook)
I clicked on "Attach" then " browse this computer".
The reduced folder appears with all the pics EXCEPT the one I want to send
To double check: I closed Outlook and re-opened the picture folder.Sure enough the jpeg in question is still there!
How can it be in the folder, yet not be there when I want to attach it?
This has happened to two files, recently added to the folder.
If I do it the other way round: right click the pic then select "share" I can then email it.
(It may be useful to know that the two offending files were the reults of some "tinkering": one in "Paint" and one in "Gimp").
Any answers would fascinate me
Cheers : JB

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
Re: Attaching files.
Thankyou Enrique.
Thanks for your rapid response, and the link, which was useful.
I renamed the two files with a "png" extension. Lo and behold they appeared in the folder when I tried to attach them
It is very odd that they were jpegs like all the other files in the folder, yet Outlook has no problem attaching any of the others
If this happens again, in future, I will take the option of "Right-click" & "Share" to email them. It is quicker than renaming the files, plus I can send them as jpegs.
Cheers
JB
