Internet:Galaxy

Postby jonbar.1 » Thu Sep 29, 2022 9:50 am

My wife's "Galaxy Tab A" has become very annoying
Every week or so it loses internet connection.
When we check the Wi-Fi settings,it says "internet-no connection"
If we then toggle the blue slide to "Off" and then connect again the connection returns.
( none of our other devices have this problem )
Any ideas on a fix please?
Thankyou JB

Hi jonbar.1,
Have a read...............

https://thedroidguy.com/fix-galaxy-tab- ... ng-1109378

If you don't turn it off over-night I'd just do that and see how things go........ it may take some time to resolve this issue as you only want to do one change at a time.

I turn all my computers (automatically) , laptop and phone over-night........leaving only my linux servers running 24/7
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Thankyou Enrique.
I must admit I found a lot of the info in the link too confusing for my simple brain.
Since we are able to get the connection back again by switching wi-fi off then on again,I think we'll stick with that, even though we may have to do it every week or so.
Your prompt response is always appreciated Enrique.
Cheers JB

Have you tried forgetting the wifi in your settings then logging in again as if it were the first time you had used the wifi?

I had this problem years back on a galaxy device. Not much use as i cant remember how i solved it (sorry) i think it may have been an issue more with the router than device

Thanks Elusive.
We hadn't tried that.
At present it's working OK,but next time it happens we will do as you suggest.
