Spain approves driving licence deal with Uk

Some brits living in Spain will be happy that this is now resolved. Also those coming on Golden/NLV visas can relax knowing they don't have to take a driving test.Progress at last.

How could Spain do that as it's a Schengen rule? I know it has affected many people who can no longer spend the winters here (or France, Italy etc), but surely it would have to be a change throughout the Schengen countries unless Spain had some sort of separate visa arrangement?

I know it’s a Schengen rule and thats why Spaniards can come to the UK for 180 days in one trip. Spain would like to sort something out but cant while they are members of Schengen.
