taking motorbike test in spain

Postby princess peach » Tue Apr 29, 2008 1:05 pm

I have just been in touch with a spanish company regarding taking my motorbike test(thanks hedonist  ).
however,i have a UK driving licence.I presume i would need to change my uk licence for a spanish one in order to take/pass and have new details of passing motorbike test put onto it.
I asked the woman on the phone from the company and she just kept saying yes i will help you to everything i asked her-as if she didnt really understand the questions.
so in order to take my bike test-will i need to change my uk licence for a spanish one first?,or can my spanish bike test pass be added onto my uk licence?(as it is eu-with the circle of stars)
Thanks.

Don't know owt about the test but it must be easy the way the Spanish ride about.A blind man on horse back should pass it.
It always seems imposible until its done. Nelson Mandela

DO you really have to combine the 2??? if i were you i wouldnt try and just get a spanish bike licence and not worry about having the endorsement on your uk one, as changeing that is a hassel all to itself if you no longer have an address in the uk, infact i think its near on impossible without a uk address.
My advice would be to keep them seperate if possible that way if you do get any points on your bike licence in spain wouldnt affect your uk driving licence...

You cannot have a driving licence in more than one country.

Reevesy-I was thinking along the same lines myself.
I will still need a provisional bike licence first tho wont i to actually take motorbike lessons?(as i havnt got a driving licence..nudge nudge wink wink)am i correct in thinking that?.I do have a UK address-so once my bike test was passed,it wouldnt be a problem in sending it all off to be added if i wanted to-but i agree it would be a good idea in keeping the licences seperate.

An international driving licence is basically worthless unless you have the original to back it up!
