Just get a Spanish licence, then there will be no problems. I did.

Hi can anybody tell me if there are any laws re driving ages in Spain.
I will be 80 by the time I live in Spain will I still be able to drive over there.

Once over 70 pbounty9, you have to pass the "medical" = eyesight and coordination test, ever 2 yrs. That is whether you retain a UK licence or exchange for a Spanish licence. The same medical rules will apply.

im confused I have been told that you can not have a UK licence with a Spanish address

:? or do you keep the UK licence with a care of address

You are correct in that a UK licence cannot have a non-UK address, but the rules are a little muddy in that it only says you must have a valid UK address - whatever valid is!
It would appear that it just has to ba an address where you can be communicated with, after all you can have a licence if you are in a hostel, a b&b or a rented or owned property.
One thing to watch is that the validity of the photo may expire before the licence does - i.e. before you reach 70.
