I am about to purchase a 3.0 Ltr Car from a Dealership..and just want to confirm the costs of the transfer and also what the annual tax would be..

Road tax is not yet based on emissions - it is based on "fiscal horsepower" which is roughly related to engine size. The matriculation tax is now based on emissions which came in about a year ago.

Road tax is a local tax and varies enormously between towns - it can be three times higher in the next town.

I think they have a 'book price' for every model of car
