When is the first ITV for a car?

Apart from all the vehicle docs, what if any personal documents have to be shown for ITV?

For a normanl 'turismo' four years from date of first registration. Only the vehicle documents are required but I always take a print-out of my appointment as well.

Can I make an appointment down at the Malaga office? You used to be able to just turn up but I know that's changed.

Didn't I read somewhere that they had opened an ITV Centre in Marbella? (Or was that just a Trafico Office?).Easiest way is on-line:

There is an ITV station at Estepona and two more are planned locally; one in Cártama and one at La Vega in Fuengirola. Country Boy's link is certainly the easiest way to make an appointment and as long as you make a note of the reference number you can cancel it and make an alternative one if necessary.

First ITV for a turismo is after 4 years

but

if you have a car that can be converted to a van, such as a Kango, then it is after 2 years.
