UK plated car again!!

I sold my car 6 weeks ago and have been without one. My hubby has the idea of driving his UK plated car here and leaving it with me to use and then drive it back in Aug when we leave. I can't see any problems doing this as it will be insured for me to drive here, has tax and mot, apart from the fact that i am a resident here. Any ideas guys or problems you can envisage me having???

Yes i have followed that Blondie. It's the being a resident bit i am confused about. I only want to have it for 8 weeks max and then we leave. I suppose if i get stopped i will have to lie and claim to be on holiday...goes against the grain...but needs must.

I was under the impression that it was illegal for a resident to circulate in a foreign plated vehicle ?
