Many people with a UK licence when they have to renew it for another Uk one using a UK address break the law by stating that it is their permanent address when they are resident in Spain, I went through all this and for peace of mind changed to a spanish licence with no problems and so far no regrets , dont even have to carry the UK paper licence either.

As this will have been taken off you when you changed over, it would be a bit tricky for you to carry it... :roll:
