driving as a tourist
driving as a tourist
My 32 year old son is visiting me here in Spain & wants to drive my car, the problem is he has only brought his plastic card EU licence with him & left his paper licence in England, does he need the paper licence with him to drive legally?
Re: driving as a tourist
I wouldn't think it would be a problem.
I doubt if most officials, here in Spain, know of the existence of the paper part.
The plastic EU licence should be sufficient.
Cheers

Just make sure that he has a piece of paper with your name address, nie, etc; on & stating that you as owner give express permission for him, complete with all his details, passport number, driving licence number ( 'cause if he has any sense he won't be carrying his passport) to drive the vehicle as detailed & with make, model, registration etc & signed & dated.
