Rearlights

Postby Campo Steve » Fri Sep 11, 2015 12:43 pm

I have n Opel frontera which has brokn rear light cluster. This would fail an ITV ie be illegal n the road. Obviously I could go to the Opel dealerand pay a fortune for a replacement.can anyone recommend a breaker in the VelezMalaga area that might have such an item?

I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

There are 2 scrapyards behind the cemetery in Velez and a big one just off the motorway at junction 258.

Take the old cluster with you as it makes it a bit easier getting an exact replacement.

Is it just a lens/cover Steve or a whole sealed unit?

Steve, have you checked the price of a new one? You may be surprised and save a lot of mauling about.

Hi Campo Steve,
Ask for price in Auto Electricians, I source both rear clusters for a Kangoo when I got it done ie to Spanish plates. No sucking through teeth when he gave me the price........... :D

i´d also recomend going to a parts place for a "valeo" replacement part (90% of the worlds car lighting is made by them anyways) - so it will be a direct replacement.

Its at least worth getting a price ? it wont be as bad as you think.

Valeo, and lots else besides, at Andel (Central de Recambios) in V-M. In the street opposite the Repsol Garage and tram stop (the East turn off the roundabout). Full catalogues there.
