Changing to Spanish driving licence
Re: Changing to Spanish driving licence
Dito. We file self assessment forms for the uk rental income. Not taxed though as its below the allowance limit. Rent is paid tax free after filing out a non resident landlord hmrc form. Declared here for spanish tax
Re: Changing to Spanish driving licence
We do both but I do the UK ones myself and send them back almost immediately. As non resident landlords we do have to complete a UK one each year as well even though we don't earn enough to pay tax. I can't cope with the Spanish one so our gestoria does that as I find the rental income more complicated.peteroldracer wrote:Wicksey " must be one of the first people to return their UK tax returns". Surely as a resident you will be submitting Spanish tax returns rather than UK?

Re: Changing to Spanish driving licence
Hi All,
We have an appointment at the DGT in Malaga. We will be travelling from Velez Malaga direction. We had directions to exit MA-20 at junction 8 for the A-357 but it seemed to be wrong. We ended up taking an exit which took us way past where we should have been. Junction 8 on the MA-20 seems to be right but could anyone tell us what sign post to look for as we did not see 'junction 8' at all.
The appointment is tomorrow late morning so a quick response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi LifeofBrian,
Pull up Google Maps....then Street View ............ and "drive" along the M-20 ....I've used this technique around Málaga before.

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Junction 8 on the ma-20 first exit after you come out of the tunnel c.de la justica/palacio de ferias keep right. Traffico is next door to el cortes ingles..I would look it up on street view before you go as its abit confusing. Doesnt matter how many times i go i always find myself abit unsure as to whether ive taken the right turn etc. I have to look it up on s.view before to remind myself if i havnt been for along time
Re: Changing to Spanish driving licence
Even though I have a satnav I always do as Enrique suggests and drive it via Google Street view. Getting back out onto the main road again afterwards was tricky too.

@Lifeofbrian
Come along the road until you get to the tunnel, go thru it, and you want the next right - sign posted to cartama.
Join that road, and go up till you see the hospital on the right.
Take the exit, and at the roundabout go right around under the road, and head off at the side by KFC and the petrol station.
The road goes over the 'brow' and down the other side, funny junction by McDonalds.
Turn right, and follow that road to the traffic lights.
Go around and 'come back on yourself'. Park on the right hand side.
You have arrived, walk around the building and go in.
