Are you sure it is an actual appointment not just the offer of an appointment that you need to confirm or change if you wish?

It is an appointment, but you do need to confirm it and a reference number is issued.

Yes, that's what I thought. It also probably gives you the opportunity to change the time/date if you wish. If you have given an email address they will also send a confirmation by email showing the four digit reference number that they call a 'localizador'.

YIPPEEE

My ITV done at last this morning.

Also renewed driving licence which ran out end of April.

So all legal again (Yes I know I could have used the car without ITV and licence, but better safe than sorry....)

So if the PC application worked then so will the Android app as they both require the same information to access the system except that, currently it is easier via the Android app.

when i tried the wedsite its simply would not proceed, the "latest news" section is what redirected to information that was recent. to be honest Id rather leave it as long as possible so if we are all in the same boat i happy to take it easy and get it done after the summer.

Has anybody been to Algarrobo for an ITV test recently?
I believe they want all car windows open, is that correct?
The two electrically operated back windows on my wife's car won't open.
We never find we need to open them so trying to avoid the expense of replacing the mechanisms.

It is the usual gerry: rules were windows open, papers under wipers, seat belts clipped in, and no technician to enter the car. In reality as I was clipping the rear belts told not to bother, I was turfed out, steering wheel cover and seat cover fitted, in jumped techy, him and mate then did all the tests while I sat nearby sipping on the free bottle of water supplied to me.

I had to take my son's car in and they were shouting instructions from a pit under the car. I couldn't get it through even after a couple of retests and I am not prepared to chuck any more money down the drain.

We have now decided to buy a new one and got around 1,000 euros for the old one through the government's 'plan revove
My son was unlucky because his first failed test was the same day as the lockdown and the retest was in the middle of this month even though he tried to get one from early June

ITV appointments seem normal now and I had quite a lot of days and times for my car to chose from the beginning of August

I´ve just booked 32 ITV appointments, I´m going to be there every day of August, and a few days into September :wtf:

According to the website, if the ITV on your vehicle runs out between the end of the state of alarm (21st of June) to the 31st of August, you get an extra 3 months to do it.

If your ITV ran out during the state of alarm, the 14th of March to the 21st of June, then you have between 6 months and 9 months to get it done - the chart is here - https://www.veiasa.es/node/1430 and it depends on the exact date of the ITV.

What I find a **little** bit cheeky.. is .. for example, if your ITV expired on the 20th of June, and you wait till the last minute of the extension to do the ITV, so you have till the 2nd of March 2021.. and it passes.. you´ll be due an ITV again on the 20th of June.. so 3 months later :lolno: If it fails the ITV on the 2nd of March, and takes a few weeks etc to get it sorted.. your ITV will expire in 10 weeks time instead of the "normal" 52 weeks.

You get nothing for free in this life ;)
