Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
I read that the dates will come online tomorrow. Time will tell
Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
On several occasions today I have failed to access the Cita Previa page for Algarrobo. Has anyone had any success?
Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
My understanding is that they will contact you, assuming you have registered your phone number/ email address with them, and give you a date/time for your ITV.
You cannot book a test via the website. That is why we are now seeing "En breve podremos ofrecerle cita" "We will be able to offer you an appointment shortly"
Cheers

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
I managed to get on to the site a few minutes ago and was able to confirm that the appointment I made yesterday appears to be confirmed, and wasn't just a fluke, although I did not receive a confirmation email, but the desktop site just goes around in circles stating that you must have insurance in order to make the appointment and the Android app currently shows that there are no appointments available for any testing station in Málaga.
Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
Probably been abit funny as so many are trying to access it. I had the same prob re the insurance the other day. But the page advanced after several tries

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
It is good that they are allowing plenty of time to get the outstanding tests done but, apparently, the test will only be valid for the appropriate period fom the previous date of expiry rather than from the date of the test.
I shall find out for sure this week, assuming the car passes. Even if it doesn't I shall ask the question.

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
I can confirm that the new ITV will be valid from the date of its expiry not the date of the test.
There are some rules to follow when you are at the testing station.
1.- Put the documentation underneath the windscreen wiper.
2.- A mask (without valves) must be worn at all times during the process.
3.- All doors must be unlocked, windows open and seatbelts plugged in.
4.- You must not get out of the vehicle unless specifically instructed to do so.
5.- Only one person allowed in the vehicle during the inspection.
These are the rules as per the testing station in Mijas. Presumably they also apply to others.
One thing not mentioned on that list although I have seen it on a web site somewhere is that you must pay by credit card. It actually says 'tarjeta bancaria' so presumably you can also pay with a debit card.
The online booking seems to have settled down now as I have just booked a test for another vehicle for 26th June.

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
Get the below when i try to look for a date
A moratorium has been established for vehicles whose inspections have expired during the alarm state and which extends the expiration of the ITV depending on the week of the alarm state in which the inspection ceased to be in force. See https://www.veiasa.es/node/1430 for your new expiration date. We are prioritizing appointments based on the new expiration dates in order to be able to make appointments to all vehicles whose ITV is expired and cannot benefit from the extension. Soon we will be able to offer you an appointment. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you want to pass a non-periodic inspection, call 959 99 99 99
So they are giving appointments first to those whos itvs expired before the state of alarm? Or for those that run out after the 24th as thats when the SOA ends (putting aside a new one will be voted for

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
I made the appointment via the ITV Android app which is working correctly. There seems to be some issues with the web site when accessing it from a PC.
Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
My wife's car's ITV is due for renewal on 24th June.
Went in via the ITV android app, for Algarrobo, and was offered a test on 24th at 6.50 AM.
A bit early so I tried to change it.
Plenty of times available on 22nd June so booked one of them.
Cheers
Gerry

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
If you type 'Veiasa' into Google Play Store it should be the first result. It's full name is 'Veiasa ITV Andalucía'.
You register your vehicle registration number and date of first registration or chassis number on the app and it will show full details as held by DGT including the date of expiry of the current ITV.
When you click on 'Cita' to make an appointment it automatically extracts the information it needs and goes straight to step 4 where you select the time and date of the appointment. It will give you a time and date based upon the date of expiry but you can change this under 'Modificar cita'.
If you have more than one vehicle you can make a separate entry for each one.

Re: CAR ITV - Whats going on??
Just out of interest, I had an ITV appointment at Algarrobo on 24th April which was cancelled.
On the original email confirming this appointment, there was an instruction to go to the following web address to change the appointment http://lajunta.es ******* ( the ***** was a unique reference to my vehicle). I tried to make a new appointment using the app but it wouldnt allow me to, so I went to the web as shown on the original email, and lo and behold, another appointment had been made for next Thursday 28th.
If you have had an appointment cancelled, it may be worth looking at any emails you have received.
