Re: Petrol Containers for Cars
Rural fuel stations sell them. Ours does for ten euros. Seems a lot for a plastic container but that is the going rate here.
I have a perfectly serviceable metal one but they aren’t legal apparently. Probably because the seams rust.

Re: Petrol Containers for Cars
I would have thought all petrol stations sell them or a car spares shop like a UK halfords type store.
Re: Petrol Containers for Cars

Hi pensure1988,
"I wonder if any Ferreteras sell them as well"................. yes they do
As a general tip get your "friend" to read up on how to safely store and transport Petrol and the regulations on amounts you can have in containers.

Hi pensure1988,
" Petrol Container or two for emergency use............what is this emergence use ?
It's not advisable to carry Petrol around in vehicles on a long term ...........best to fill up when the Fuel gauge gets to 1/4
Even in a sealed can it can smell......unless you have Covid-19........

Hi Enrique
My friend has serious parking problem in the road where she lives. She does not want to move her second Car. She only wants to top up her Tank. Sorry, she will need one container only. So will only fill the Container. No storage is required then. Do you know what the limit is to carry such a container in your car for this purpose.
Thank you for your help in this matter

Hi pensure1988,
In that case a 10ltr (ten) can is ok...............sounds like an expensive way to claim a Parking space...........using a second car.
The Containers I use are Made in Canada, bought from a Ferretería.........the pouring spout is housed in container when not in use.

Re: Petrol Containers for Cars
Who has told you that ? I´ve got 6 of these metal "army" ones.
Alhaurin el Grande since 99, working at the airport since 2011.
Re: Petrol Containers for Cars
Two different fuel stations here.
We aren’t talking army gerry cans here but a vintage ( 50 years old) “ Paddy Hopkirk “ gallon can ( about 4.5litres) like this one. https://www.google.co.uk/search?client= ... 34DbJkQNuM.
I keep unleaded in it for machinery and diesel in my shiny plastic 10 euro job.
