UK car for summer

Postby costakid » Fri Feb 05, 2021 4:45 pm

A friend has just tried booking his car on a transporter from UK to Spain. UK registered to use in Estepona for the summer. No transport company will bring it over at the moment because Spanish customs are saying the car needs to be temporary imported to Spain and at end of summer exported out again. The only way is if he drives over in it himself and at his age thats not possible. All the Spain UK Spain transport companies are running empty on the UK to Spain leg. Since Brexit all the rules have changed.

Is there any shipper people would recommend to ship a UK car (regular sized car not SUV)that has overstayed it's welcome in Spain back to the UK? Driving it back at the moment is just not worth the effort.

Also any rough idea on cost?

Good. Getting away with illegal behaviour for two long.the only positive of brexit. Causing alot of people to act legally for once.

Thats very cheap. I have friends who all ship their toys over for the summer every year and they pay much more. You get what you pay for and insurance cover needs to be proper.

That was the price last time that I spoke to him, all our customers seem happy - the website is easy to find on google, sunshine car transport - they have been going for years, and move some very expensive stuff. It´s open transporters, maybe your friends move theirs in closed ones etc, theres all sorts of things that might influence the price.

I remember a guy in the uk brought his g63 down to spain, he said it was easier and cheaper to bring his own car than hire one when he was here. made complete sense really.
